Ghost Rider Adventures on the Trace

The challenge of riding the length of The Trace on horseback inspired a couple horsemen from Lewis County to hit the trail recently.  This past early Spring the group began from the Northern Terminus.

The ambitious horsemen took two days to ride from the NT to Rt 32 in Morehead, making camp along the trail near the I-64 overpass.

The second leg took the group from Cave Run where they camped at the White Sulphur Horse Camp down to the edge of Red River Gorge.  The old iron furnace at Clear Creek was the perfect stop for lunch for both horse and rider.
