Board meetings are now held every other month on the second Thursday, at 5:30 PM at the CHER building, Room 214, in Morehead and are open to the public. We especially encourage members to attend.
Agenda for each meeting will be available HERE by the Monday evening prior to the meeting.

The Cave Run Lake Chapter works the first Saturday of each month on the Trace. Volunteers are welcome, regardless of experience. Tools are provided. All volunteers are required to sign a release before working and attend the on-site safety briefing.
All CRLC workdays are official US Forest Service approved projects, and volunteers sign on as official US Forest Service Volunteers.
For more information on what specific section of the Trace is being worked on contact the Chapter leadership by email at email@example.com or at 606-776-0812. Stay in touch by liking our "Chapter" Facebook page.
The next workday is May 12th (make-up for May 5).
Other Volunteer Needs
Organized Hikes - Are you an experienced hiker who loves to introduce new folks to the trail? Be a hike leader or even propose and organize a hike through our chapter. We welcome anyone who wants to help out, as well as leaders who can offer enhancements to the hikes, such as backwoods instruction, historical lore, or natural science knowledge. Email us with your ideas!
Other Events - Are you a consummate host or event organizer? We already have several events yearly that could use your touch! And we would love to create more indoor and outdoor activities to show appreciation to our members and volunteers and to introduce new enthusiasts to our chapter. Email to join our events committee or trail angels group.
Special Projects - Everything from photos of maintenance days and hikes, publicity and communication tasks, working with our chair to increase awareness among community leaders, grant writing - if you have an hour or two to spare, we would love your help!
Chapter Leadership - We have open positions. Attend our board meetings (see above) and learn how you can become part of our leadership.
Day Hikes with the CRLC
HIKE THE TRACE IN ROWAN AND BATH/MENIFEE COUNTIES
The Cave Run Lake Chapter of the Sheltowee Trace Association (STA) and Bath County Tourism each year organize a series of day hikes to cover the length of the Trace in the counties we maintain.
Hikes will be offered starting in January and ending in May each year. We will alternate between the series that covers Rowan County and the series that covers Bath and Menifee Counties.
Proceeds from hike fees benefit the Sheltowee Trace Association – Cave Run Lake Chapter for trail maintenance, trail equipment purchases and food/water for volunteers.
We will be starting our Rowan County series of hikes in January 2019, and information will be posted on a separate page starting in December.
OTHER ORGANIZED HIKES
We will offer occasional day hikes on the Sheltowee in our area, loop hikes that include the Sheltowee, and overnight backpacking trips in the fall. Individuals and groups are welcome to participate in our planned hikes or contact us for help to set one up. Go to the Day Hikes page for current offerings.
