February- Give A Pint - Save A Life Campaign
Our February community engagement program is a blood drive to have 100 units of blood donated to regional donation centers by our members and friends. We all know the importance of having a blood supply on hand for our families and the community. Blood is truly a life-saving necessity in most cases.
You can help by visiting your local blood center, giving a unit of blood - which will take you maybe an hour - and then letting us know how it went.
With thousands of fans and group members on Facebook, we hope that at least 100 of you will visit your blood center and make this donation.
When you have donated, send us a picture, or post a picture to one of our Facebook pages. Send us your name, when you donated, and where so we can see that number of donated units rise. Send your information to email@example.com with our thanks.
The STA works to stay engaged in the communities in which we travel through. During the year, we try to attend at least one event in each of the counties that host the Trace. Where we can, we try to reach other groups across the region with attendance at conferences, trail festivals, and speaking engagements to local groups.
If you would like the STA to attend your event, maybe co-sponsor an event with you, just let us know. Send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with the date, name, location and type of event.
Blood Donation Locations
Larger metropolitian areas may have multiple locations to donate from the Red Cross to a local non-profit like the Kentucky Blood Center or a University related hospital like the Hoxworth Blood Center at University of Cincinnati. Do a search to find the location nearest you and make the time to visit today. Donations always slow in winter so it is important that you help us help the whole region with a donation today.
