The Laurel Lake Chapter was organized in February 2016. Our area of responsibility starts at the blue bridge on Highway 490 and ends at Cumberland Falls State Resort Park. Join the LLLC First Day Hikes
First Day Hike - January 1 2021
The STA in conjunction with the Kentucky Recreation Trails Association and Morgan County Hikers (Tennessee) are hosting several First Day Hikes. Hikes are open to everyone but you must register. Variable distance and locations. 2 options for hiking on the Trace in the London Laurel Lake section of the Trace. Hikes begin at 9 am at Pine Creek Church off Pine Creek Church road in the Daniel Boone. Hikers for both distances will be shuttle around to the trailheads at Big Dog Branch Road and off Forest Service Road 457. The Big Dog to Pine Creek hike is 3.5. The 457 to Pine Creek Church is 6 miles. Participants should dress for the predicted weather, wear sturdy shoes, carry a snack and some water, and come ready to hike in the New Year and have some fun along the Sheltowee. Registration only takes a couple minutes. Hikes are free. Click this link to register today.
